Since the patches at http://www.openchrome.org/snapshots/mplayer/ are not updated on a regular basis, they cannot be applied cleanly against a recent mplayer from svn.
I've prepared an updated patch against mplayer svn from Sept. 26th, 2006 (revision 19983 to be precise).
To be 100% sure it applies cleanly, check out that exact version:
svn -r 19983 co svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/mplayer/trunk mplayer cd mplayer patch -p0 < mplayer-svn-r-19983-openchrome.patch
